The Relationship between Dimensions of Colorism and Body Image

This study explores dimensions of colorism in relation to body image, using an online survey in a sample of adults (N = 500) between the ages of 18-88. Correlational analyses show significant associations between skin tone importance on self-concept and attractiveness with body appreciation, general belongingness, and skin color satisfaction.
