Abstract
Vicarious memories are people's recollections of others' life experiences. We investigated life-span distributions, contents, and qualities of older parents' vicarious memories about their children and compared them to the personal memories they shared with their children. We found reminiscence bumps for both memory types, with largely overlapping themes and qualities.
