Passing Judgment: Perpetrator Gender and Crime Predict Blame, but Context and Participant Moral Agency Add to the Story

Abstract
Current study expanded on research examining the role of gender and crime type on participant perceptions of blameworthiness and prison sentencing by adding analyses related to context and personal moral agency. Blameworthiness was correlated with sentencing and blame, and aspects of participant moral agency was associated with higher prison sentencing.
