Abstract

Low socioeconomic expectations in adolescence are associated with health behaviors that may place women at increased risk of developing cardiometabolic pregnancy complications later in life. However, present findings indicate neither education nor income expectations, nor discrepancies between adolescent expectations and adult socioeconomic attainment, were associated with subsequent pregnancy complications.
