Player or "Player": The Effect of Uniform on Perceptions of Female Athletes

Participants were randomly assigned to view one version of a photograph of female athletes in uniforms varying in provocativeness. They then rated the athletes' capability, femininity, and attractiveness. Results showed that uniform had an effect on perceptions and objectification, suggesting that these factors should be considered when choosing team uniforms.
