Social Influences on Love: Women in Same-Gender Vs. Mixed-Gender Couples Differ in Commitment Milestones

We compared women's experience of relationship milestones in same-gender and mixed-gender couples. While most results suggested that the occurrence and timing of milestones were not dependent upon a partner's gender, same-gender couples took longer to introduce their partners to their parents and were less likely to make the introduction.
