Abstract

As climate change worsens, it is essential to determine factors that impact responses to severe weather. We examined whether personality traits influence the severity of weather phobia and weather-related PTSD. Results showed extraversion and agreeableness predicted heightened weather phobia symptoms. Extraversion and neuroticism predicted increased weather PTSD symptoms.
