Abstract

Social negative reinforcement learning (SNRL) is putatively linked to psychopathological behaviors (e.g., avoidance, self-harm), yet no fMRI-compatible behavioral tasks exist to measure this construct. We therefore developed an fMRI-compatible SNRL task that is engaging/tolerable, feasible, and safe, that has high construct, convergent, and incremental validity.
