Abstract

Social network sites provide platforms for self-presentation to make people more visible. Little is known about the mediator role of photo-uploading behavior between vanity and specific self-esteem. The results show that vain people enhance their self-esteem by uploading social life photos and art/work photos but decrease by tangible material photos.
