The Games Are Not the Same: Evaluating Participant Experiences When Taking Tests of Executive Function

Participants reported different emotional and cognitive experiences when taking two popular measures of executive function: Trails-X and the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test. Knowing these differences can help administrators more effectively frame the experience before they begin the assessment. Addressing these issues can increase the overall diagnostic validity of these tests.
