Perceptions of Children's Negotiation Behaviors: Effects of Gender and Gender Role Attitudes

After viewing videos of child actors playing a negotiation game, adults appeared to evaluate children in light of gendered expectations, with the girl who negotiated viewed as competent and agentic but less communal, and the boy who did not negotiate viewed as communal but less competent and agentic.
