Word Associations and Response Times: Differences between Emotion and Emotion-Laden Words

Abstract
The current study expanded on previous research comparing emotion and emotion-laden word processing. Participants produced word associations for 120 positive and negative words. Results showed significant differences in response times and the number of unique word associations across word types. These differences remained even when accounting for participants' mood data.
