Prosocial Contagion Among Siblings in Older Adulthood

The study examines whether behavioral and psychological aspects of volunteering between siblings in older adulthood are contagious. We find volunteering participation, breadth of volunteering organizations, and volunteering in senior citizen groups are contagious. Volunteering motives are contagious almost across all types, and volunteering identity salience is contagious across shorter period.
