Development of the Personal Goal Identification Scale

Abstract
Motivational systems theory provides a taxonomy of all possible human goals. An online study was conducted with a general population to develop a measure for capturing these goals. Based on the taxonomy, a correlated 24-factor CFA model was hypothesized and estimated. The final revised model generated acceptable fit indices.
