Effective Therapy: Therapist Self-Disclosure Bolsters the Working Alliance

Certain demographic characteristics may influence the use of therapist self-disclosure and ultimately, alter the working alliance in the therapeutic dyad. This study will look specifically at the client and therapist's gender, race, therapeutic orientation and how these affect the frequency of disclosures, and ultimately resulting working-alliance.
