Abstract

Transcranial Focused Ultrasound (tFUS) is a novel noninvasive stimulation method that targets deeper brain regions, such as the amygdala, previously only accessible through invasive neuromodulation. Active tFUS of the amygdala decreased resting state functional connectivity between the amygdala and other regions in the fear neural circuit, relative to sham tFUS.
