Experiences with Racial Microaggressions Predict Identification of Racial Microaggressions in Vignettes

We aimed to better understand how racial microaggressions are experienced. We compared experiences with different types of microaggressions with perceptions of a hypothetical racial microaggression. We found that experiencing microaggressions implying low achievement and/or undesirable culture was the strongest predictor for perceiving the hypothetical as intentional, harmful, and undesirable.
