Abstract

We estimated 1,000 networks using random combinations of eight eating disorder (ED) symptoms in two samples. We found four symptoms (shame, guilt, worry, and fear of losing control) were consistently central across networks and samples. Results suggest these symptoms are central to ED pathology, regardless of item selection or sample.
