Antiracism Efficacy: Motivating Individuals Toward Racial Justice

Abstract

We introduce the concept of antiracism self-efficacy, an individual's belief in their capability to act in antiracist ways. We experimentally tested the effects of verbal persuasion, finding that verbal persuasion increases antiracism self-efficacy among those low in racist beliefs.
