Abstract
This study examined serial mediation from PTSD symptom severity to trauma coping self-efficacy (CSE-T) and coping flexibility (CF) and then to alcohol use (AU) coping and finally to problematic AU behaviors. PTSD symptoms predicted lower CSE-T and CF, and CSE-T predicted higher AU coping, which explained increased problematic AU behaviors.
