On the Relations between Intellectual Humility and Political and Religious Polarization

We comprehensively examined the relations between intellectual humility (IH) and polarization for political, religious, and non-religious beliefs. IH was moderately and negatively related to affective polarization, and there was no evidence that these relations differed across belief domain. In addition, these relations remained significant even after controlling for belief strength.
