Abstract

The Hierarchical Taxonomy of Psychopathology favors a dimensional conceptualization of psychopathology suggesting the notion of a psychosis phenotype expressed at subclinical levels. This study found that alexithymia places individuals at risk for psychosis proneness, with affective dysregulation mediating the association. Findings provide support for the dimensional conceptualization of psychopathology.
