Psychological Growth in the Longitudinal Context: An Examination of Antecedents and Outcomes Using Growth Curve Modeling

This research measures and models psychological growth in the longitudinal context. 556 Chinese college students were measured six times throughout their freshmen year, and their self-report psychological growth was subjected to growth curve modeling. Openness, personality integration, intentional pursuit, and positive expectations predict faster growth rates, which then predict well-being.
