Abstract

We investigated the construct validity of Self-Actualization and Social Influence from a Cybernetic Big Five Theory perspective by administering a survey to 327 undergraduates. According to a regression analysis, Self-Actualization, while not independent from Social Influence, ultimately transcends Social Influence, precisely in terms of Openness/Intellect and Extraversion.
