Abstract
The study aimed to investigate the associations between basic psychological needs, empathy, and prosocial behavior in young adulthood via self-report questionnaires (N = 889). The path model showed that young adults' satisfaction of the relatedness need mediated the effects of empathy, autonomy, and competence predictors on prosocial behavior.
