Responding to Responder's Needs: An Analysis of Stress, Social Support, Hope, Loneliness and Burnout in Emergency Responders

Abstract
Emergency responders are exposed to critical incidents within their stressful work environment. Burnout has been shown to be prevalent as a consequence to these critical incidents in emergency response populations. This research will focus on the mediational factors of social support, loneliness, and hope with aims to clarify burnout mechanisms.
