Positive Screen for Disordered Eating Influences Body Dysmorphia in Male and Female Exercisers

The interactive effects of sex of participants and potential for an eating disorder on body dysmorphia were examined. Robust differences in the expression of body dysmorphia were observed between sexes and the SCOFF was effective for identifying individuals who might benefit from screening for disordered eating and dysmorphia.
