Indirect Effects of Parental Religiosity on Emerging Adult Risky Sexual Behavior Via Family Functioning across Gender

Abstract
This study examined the indirect effects of parental religiosity on risky sexual behavior via family functioning. Results indicated that maternal conservative religiosity had direct and indirect effects on risky sexual behavior in women and men, whereas other maternal religiosity variables as well as all paternal religiosity variables did not.
