Increasing the Provision of Support to People with Depression: Attribution Theory, Social Exchange Theory, and Vested Interest Theory

This symposium presents theory-guided investigations to increase support for people with depression. Presentation 1 examines the effect of psychological contract and perceived stability. Presentation 2 discusses the moderating impact of interpersonal relationship on perceived controllability among Chinese participants. Presentation 3 explores the influence of stake in a loved one’s recovery.
