Adapting Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to Reduce Violence and Sexual Misconduct: A Series of Pilot and Effectiveness Studies

We will describe our manualized adaptations of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to target aggressive and controlling behaviors. Results from four datasets across three interventions demonstrate the feasibility and potential effectiveness of our treatment to reduce violence and sexual misconduct in adult men, adolescent boys, and college students mandated to treatment.
