Social Network Structures: What Are We Thinking about When We Think about Relationships?

Sunday, May 24, 2020 · Virtual

Oral · Cognitive

What strategies or tools do we use to shape mental representations of relations between others? This symposium explores connections between bias and expectations of social segregation, tests whether social network encoding tracks the network’s structure, and assess whether people have tendency towards linear – rather than complex – mental representations.
