The Future of Diagnosis in Clinical Practice: An Update on the Clinical Utility of Dimensional Models of Psychopathology
It is widely acknowledged that the categorical model of mental disorders is scientifically flawed and that the conceptualization is improved by using dimensions that cut across traditional diagnostic categories. The current symposium explores findings regarding how these dimensions are used by clinicians and how they can inform clinical decision making.
