Risk and Protective Factors for Mental Health during National Elections
Macro-level political events, such as divisive political campaigns, are sources of sociopolitical stress that may negatively affect individuals’ psychological and physical well-being. This symposium draws on a socioecological framework to identify risk and protective factors for mental health during national elections across three diverse populations.
