What Is the Nature of “General Factors” in Personality and Clinical Psychology? a Critical Review of Concepts, Methods, and Evidence
Person judgment data reliably yields strong “general factors” distinguishing more positive person characterizations from more negative ones. The symposium reviews concepts, methods and evidence from this research, to illuminate the nature of these general factors, and to achieve a better integration across the sub-disciplines of personality and clinical psychology.
