Understanding Emotion with Cultural Perspective(s)
In this symposium, we highlight the centrality of culture in emotion using multiple methods and populations. We use a framework on emotion conceptualizations to explain cultural variation in: a) nuances of emotion, b) the multi-dimensionality of honor emotions, c) emotional expression, and d) variation in emotion regulation.
