Leveraging Technology to Understand Intergroup Conflicts
Novel technologies—eye-tracking, automation, social media, AI voice assistant—offer insight into processes by which intergroup conflicts emerge, are perceived, and further exacerbated. This symposium explores technology in (1) uncovering bias when viewing evidence, (2) producing workplace anti-immigrant dehumanization, (3) escalating online confrontation, and (4) perpetuating gender bias.
