Examining Developmental Links Between Active/Inactive Lifestyle and Psycho-Social Adjustment in Children: Insights From Multiple Prospective Studies

Friday, March 8, 2019 · Paris, France

Lifespan Development

Youthful physical inactivity is a contemporary issue. We offer four contributions which investigate prospective associations between active versus inactive lifestyles and various aspects of psycho-social adjustment in youth, considering potential developmental influences in both directions. Evidence from these studies supports the benefits of an active lifestyle for youth development.
