The Mental Files Approach and Its Interpretation for Empirical Findings

The symposiums will focus on novel approach by François Recanati’s (2012) mental files theory and its interpretation used in explaining neuroimaging data. The three talks will focus on (1) an overview of the mental files theory, (2) understanding identity statements and mathematical equations, and (3) re-identification of individuals in memory.
