The Individual Versus the Average: Revisiting Brain, Mind, and Body Mechanisms of Behavior Change in Addiction Science
Heterogeneity among persons sharing the same diagnosis remains a stumbling block in clinical science. This symposium focuses on personalized modeling approaches to uncover cognitive, physiological, and neural mechanisms of behavior change related to substance use disorders as a means to identify more fine-grained phenotypes of risk, treatment response, and recovery.
