Can Cognitive Emotion Regulation Be Effortless?
Many gold standard cognitive emotion regulation techniques are effective but effortful. We bring together an interdisciplinary, international group of psychological scientists to discuss the potential downsides of relying on such strategies and offer less effortful alternatives that have applications across development and a range of conditions that require emotion regulation.
