Cognitive Flexibility in Emotional Disorders

Psychological flexibility refers to a variety of abilities relating to adaptation to changing demands. Flexible cognitive, emotional, and expressive abilities are linked to lower emotional distress and to enhanced well-being. This symposium will explore various measures of cognitive flexibility as they apply to depression, social anxiety, and post-traumatic stress.
