Beyond Semantics: Word Articulation as a Source of Meaning
This symposium presents and contrasts different perspectives on the role of non-semantic features of language in shaping cognitive and affective meaning. The mechanisms advanced for these effects are grounded on the oral and facial movements involved in articulating consonants and vowels. Boundary conditions and applications are also discussed.
