Judging Truth: Recent Developments on the Determinants and Cognitive Processes Underlying Illusions of Truth
We present novel findings on illusions of truth, addressing: the joint effects of repetition, source-credibility, and images on truth judgments; the dissociation of conceptual vs. perceptual fluency contributions to perceived truth; the ecological relation between truth and processing-ease; and a comparison of multinomial models clarifying the processes underlying truth effects.
