Cross-Cultural Factors Relating to the Mathematical Cognition of Diverse Populations Around the Globe

Friday, March 8, 2019 · Paris, France

Cognitive Science

We explore cognitive, socioemotional, and biological factors related to the mathematics performance of diverse learners. This symposium examines dual-language (English/Spanish, U.S.) and second-language learners (Irish, U.K.), indigenous students (Māori, N.Z.), underrepresented minority students (African-American and Hispanic, US) and the differences in monkeys, children, remote Amazonian people, and U.S. adults.
