Deconstructing the Psychosocial Dimensions of Ageism : Types, Targets, and Impact

Ageism is a pervasive form of discrimination, yet the psychosocial mechanisms underlying it are not yet fully understood. The goal of this symposium is to advance knowledge as for the types of ageism, factors that influence its expression and impact. Five empirical studies will be presented to this effect.
