The Evolutionary Origin of Cognition: What Can We Learn From Fish About Human Cognition?

Friday, March 8, 2019 · Paris, France

Biological Psychology

Human cognition has an evolutionary origin. In the proposed symposium, we aim to demonstrate that the study of animal cognition is essential for exploring the evolutionary predecessor of different cognitive processes. Different speakers will demonstrate the astonishing cognitive abilities of fish, which possess only a rudimentary neural system.
