New Insights and Evidence on the Social Function of the Cerebellum

Saturday, March 9, 2019 · Paris, France

Neuroscience

Although classically conceived as responsible for motion execution, recent neuroimaging research revealed that the cerebellum plays a critical role in social understanding and inferring other’s beliefs. This symposium showcases tests of the novel hypothesis that the cerebellum is responsible for understanding sequences of social actions, visually observed or verbally communicated.
