Friday, March 8, 2019 · Paris, France

Social Psychology

This symposium reviews empirical findings on the formation and change of attitudes and how this evidence informs theorizing about the underlying mental processes. We discuss how evidence on the role of construal, differentiation, inferential reasoning, and automatic vs. controlled processes in attitude formation and change has informed ground-breaking new perspectives.
