Cognitive Science

Rapidly evolving knowledge- and technology-based economies depend increasingly upon the competent numeracy of citizens. This motivates experimental research into the basic cognitive and neural processes that underlie mathematical skills. This symposium examines new lines of research in elementary arithmetic using behavioral, developmental and neuroimaging evidence.
