Uncovering the Costs and Benefits to Popular Diversity Programs Across Schools and Workplaces
Diversity programs (e.g., workplace diversity messages, diversity scholarships) are commonly used to support underrepresented groups. While usually beneficial, these programs can also have unintended psychosocial costs to underrepresented groups. Our research demonstrates the importance of evaluating the costs and benefits of popular diversity programs to promote inclusion.
